Coming soon to a city near you..

Two months from today...

Alabama Football is back! I don't go a moment without thinking about something related to The University of Alabama! With that said, I also think about college football a lot. I have decided to analyze some schedules and see who I think will win what games. And who will win the Big One!

I am going to go conference by conference and division where applicable and predict record and Champion. In the end I will predict major bowl outcomes and the BCS national champion! But who to start with...

That was a no brainer! The last 5 BCS champions have come from the Southeastern Conference, and 6 of the last 7! With that said, they have to be the favorites to bring it home again.

I'm going to start in the east, and also from sixth place:

6: The Vanderbilt Commodores 3-9 (0-8)
I don't see this Vanderbilt team competing in the SEC this season. They have had a spectacular recruiting class, so look for them to shake up the east in the coming seasons. Just not this one. In the non-confrence they have chances against Elon, UConn, Army, and Wake Forest. I think they pull off the Elon and Army games for sure. I also think they will beat either Uconn or Wake. I am going to call UConn.

5: The Kentucky Wildcats 6-6 (2-6)
Kentucky always has a favorable schedule to reach a bowl game, and I think they do it again. They are very likely to start out 3-0, but then they will start the SEC gauntlet. The first two weekends of November will tell the tale on Kentucky fate. I have them beating Ole Miss at home, and then traveling to Vandy to become Bowl eligible.

4: The Georgia Bulldogs 7-5 (3-5)
Georgia. 7-5 will disappoint their fans, and probably Mark Richt's bosses. After starting off with a big win over Boise State, things will look good for Georgia. But week two South Carolina comes to town for a huge show down, and thats where I see the story fall apart. I see a 4-0 non-confrence with a big win at Georgia Tech, but 5 loses in conference is to much to handle. Especially when coming to three of your top rivals: Auburn, Florida, and Tennessee.

3: The Florida Gators 7-5 (4-4)
This team is not the Florida of the recent past! There will be some growing pains this season as Florida tries to recreate themselves in the AT era. (After Tebow) After having an easy 2-0 start, Florida will welcome rival Tennessee to Gainesville. I see the Volunteers pulling off what will be seen as an upset. When Florida travels to Kentucky with following week they will be mad! 3-1 doesn't look that bad at this point for the gators who should expect a tough season. Then it happens. Bama comes to town, and then the very next week they must travel to Baton Rouge. Hardest two weeks in college football. Florida will take care of rivals Auburn and Georgia. Vanderbilt and Furman will cause no trouble in late season match ups either. I see Florida dropping the South Carolina Game as well as, sorry gators, the FSU game.

2: The Tennessee Volunteers 8-4 (4-4)
In my opinion Tennessee will start out the season 5-0. Call me crazy, but I see it. After those first 5 games though, things get tricky. The next five weeks include LSU, Alabama, South Carolina, and Arkansas. LSU and Alabama should easily out play, out man, and out skill Tennessee in every way. Setting up a big game in Knoxville possibly for an SEC East championship with South Carolina. Tennessee will be mentally and physically drained after playing the two top teams in the SEC in the past two weeks, and I think that will be the main difference in a big South Carolina win. Tennessee can bounce back against Middle Tennessee State, but will then travel to Arkansas for what I see as there last lose of the season.

1: The South Carolina Game Cocks 10-2 (6-2)
The South Carolina schedule sets up perfectly for a run at the SEC Eastern division crown. 5 of their first 6  games are in Columbus, and I predict they will win all 6 of their first games. In game 7 they travel to Starkville, Mississippi to face the up and coming Mississippi State Bulldogs. MSU will pull the upset that shakes up the rankings, and solidifies the West's domination of the East. After the MSU game, USC has a bye week to prepare for Tennessee. That will be a major factor. After the game with UT, they will travel to Arkansas for a game against a strong Arkansas team. I see this as their last lost of the regular season. They follow that up with a big home game against Florida, and close out with a game against in state rival Clemson. After winning their first SEC East title last season, South Carolina will repeat and have the chance to travel to Atlanta to face the West Champion.

With all of this being said, the SEC is a crazy conference to play in. Any game can go any way. South Carolina could very well go 12-0 and be playing for a chance to go to New Orleans for the BCS Championship, or go 6-6 and struggle to make it to a bowl game. That is the beauty of the SEC! You never really know! But in closing, I will stick to my prediction.

The Eric Mayo College Football Poll Part 4

Huge turn around in the top ten this week! Here is a copy of last weeks poll:
1. Oregon
2. Auburn
3. Boise State
4. Michigan State
5. Alabama
6. Missouri
7. TCU
8. Wisconsin
9. Utah
10. Ohio State

Update from my College football pick 'em- I picked Missouri and Michigan state to fall! Go me!

This weeks poll has some changes, obviously, due to some major losses!

1. Oregon: I picked them to lose to USC, but they handled the pressure very well. I am drinking the Oregon kool-aid. I pick them to fill one of the BCS national championship spots!

2. Auburn: They started slow, but finished strong! The defense is going to have to step it up if they hope to get out of Tuscaloosa with a win!

3. Boise State: They can stay here for now, but look for a drop in the coming weeks.

4. Alabama: The Crimson Tide had a bye week, so there isn't a lot to say. The huge game against LSU could be enough to jump Boise in the coming week!

5. TCU: I have them moving up to the top five just in time for their huge match up with Utah this week!

6. Utah: HUGE match up to determine the MWC championship! Winner might rise high enough to pass Boise and go to the rose bowl!

7. Oklahoma: Good win this week. They should be able to recover and go to the Fiesta Bowl!

8. Wisconsin: Coming off of a bye week the badgers should be well rested! Going into the final stretch to try to win the Big ten! The big ten is up for grabs now!

9. Ohio State: Dominating a weak Minnesota team. Keep winning to go to the Rose Bowl!

10.  Stanford Cardinals: Great team! One tough loss to Oregon, but other then that dominating!

What grinds my gears:
Today in the AP poll, Virginia Tech is number 20 and Mississippi State is 21. Virginia Tech lost to Boise State and James Madison. James Madison. Mississippi State lost to Auburn and LSU! You tell me where this makes any kind of sense!!

God Bless! Let me know what you think!

The Eric Mayo College Football Poll Part 3

Looking back at last week:
1. Oregon
2. Oklahoma
3. Auburn
4. Boise State
5. LSU
6. Alabama
7. TCU
8. Michigan State
9. Wisconsin
10. Utah

Okay, I am proud of my poll for last week! I wasn't one of those people who bought into Oklahoma as the "best." Other then LSU, which lost to another of my Top 5, my teams only lost one game! Success!

Now, for my poll!

1. Oregon: The quack attack didn't mess it up! I have to say, I expected an upset against UCLA Thursday! USC this week! BCS #1 curse? Maybe!
2. Auburn: or should I say, Cam Newton? Last week I told LSU to just keep winning. This week, I am going to tell Auburn to just keep Camming!
3. Boise State: Who knew that not playing is better then playing your conference opponents?
4. Michigan State: Black horse. If they don't mess it up, there aren't many stumbling blocks on their schedules.
5. Alabama: Keep doing what you have to do! Beating Tennessee is what you had to do, and man did you do it! You will have your chances!
6. Missouri: Great job! Big test against Nebraska coming up! Can you keep your energy?
7. TCU: Not much to say. You can not earn your spot.
8. Wisconsin: Badger Badger Badger Badger! Look up the song...
9. Utah: Same problem as Boise and TCU. Sorry!
10. Ohio State: Wow, you know how to bounce back don't you?

Let me know who what you think!

The Eric Mayo College Football Poll Part 2

Last weeks poll was made, but never released. Here it is:

1. Ohio State
2. Oregon
3. Nebraska
4. Oklahoma
5. Boise State
6. Auburn
7. LSU
8. South Carolina
9. Alabama
10. TCU

Who knew three of my top ten would lose? Surely not me! Even though, I did pick two of those upsets on College Football pick 'em! Anyways, here is this weeks poll!

1. Oregon: Good luck at number one! Watch out for UCLA on Thursday, I smell an upset!
2. Oklahoma: Take your spot. Big game on Saturday, Gameday will be there!
3. Auburn: You did what you had to do, even if you don't play defense on the plains.
4. Boise State: Get ready  to start falling as people pass you. Have fun in the Sugar Bowl!
5. LSU: Just keep winning. Just keep winning. That's all you have to do.
6. Alabama. Do your thing. Don't worry, they will fall.
7. TCU: Not much to say. The best you could hope for is the what ever BCS bowl spot is open.
8. Michigan State: Out of no where, now the Big Ten favorite. Look for a chance for an undefeated season.
9. Wisconsin: Good Job Badgers! Badger Badger Badger! (YouTube the Badger song)
10. Utah: Shoot, might as well. Who else could go here?

Post and let me know what you think! I want your opinions/polls too!

The Eric Mayo College Football Poll

I am back again. I am going to try to start a weekly poll for my benefit, and for those of you who understand my genius (Yes, I am joking.) I would love to for some of you to comment and tell me where I am wrong! I am going to try to explain each location as I go along. And here we go:

1. The Alabama Crimson Tide.
The king is king until he is knocked off of his throne. Bama has beaten two top ten teams, a top tier Big Ten team, and their two cup cakes. The Florida game eliminated any chance that Bama wasn't number one. Until they lose, they will stay on top.

2. The Ohio State Buckeyes.
As with Alabama, the buckeyes have given no reason to drop them past number two. They have dominated everyone they played other then Illinois. Terrell Pryor is a prime candidate for the Heisman trophy.

3. The Oregon Ducks.
The quack attack. Offense. Offense. Offense. They have dominated every single game they have played. They have even proved they can over come a deficit. coming back from 21-3 this week. They have beaten a top 10 team and dominated a Tennessee team that I think will surprise people as the year goes on. If the ducks start playing some defense, the Pac-10 better watch out. It might not even be a test for the ducks.
Okay. Here is where I disagree with the AP. Sorry Boise. (I'm not really sorry.)

4. The Oklahoma Sooners.
They have five quality wins. Only one overly impressive win, that being Florida State. The sooner quarterback has come out as a quality passer and leader. They have the potential to go 13-0 And have a shot at going to Glendale for the BCS Championship.

5. The Boise State Broncos.
Before the season, there was talk of Boise playing two non-confence top 25 teams. Now there is a chance that there will be no ranked teams on Boise's schedule at the seasons end. Boise is extremely talented, and will not lose a game this year. (Hold me to that.) There schedule does not warrant a raise in the polls, and it will take everyone having two loses for Boise to raise past number three.

6. The Nebraska Cornhuskers.
There isn't a lot to say about Nebraska. They have tons of potential, and will have the chance to prove them selves down the road. A chance Boise will not have. The second they play a quality opponent, expect them to bolt in front of Boise. P.S. They can run the ball.

7. The Auburn Tigers.
I know. You are shocked. They have been impressive. Cam Newton can play ball. It is along season, and the question will be if he can keep up his running. Auburn shouldn't lose more then two games. If they do, it will be a disappointment.

8. The Arizona Wildcats.
Arizona has handled every one they played. They pulled the upset over a loaded Iowa team. They had to fight it out against Cal, but found a way to win. If Arizona makes it, the friday after Thanksgiving could be huge against Oregon.

9. The Texas Christian Horn Frogs
TCU has as good of a chance to go undefeated as anyone, but two lack luster wins of bad teams has the horn frogs low in my top ten. They can rise as far as the big boys let them. They can only win their selves so high with nobody on their schedule.

10. The Louisiana State Tigers.
While a little shaky on offense, the tigers defense has been strong. They are fifth in the nation in scoring defense. They have beaten two top 25 teams, and have a huge schedule ahead of them. They are one of the few teams that control their destiny.

Well, thats my top ten. I am sure it will be totally remolded by the end of the season. Here is a list of teams to watch. They are quality teams that didn't quite make the list. They might make it soon.

Utah
Arkansas
Florida
Iowa
Stanford
Michigan
South Carolina

Some of these teams have a loss, but all to a quality team. Look for them to finish strong, and compete for both conference and national titles.

Paris! Picture style!

Bonjour! Welcome to Paris! I Love Paris, and I hope you enjoy seeing it through my eyes, with some commentary!

The Eiffel tower! The world renowned symbol of Paris!
Jordan has loved Paris for a while, and here dream came true. She saw Paris!
This picture sums up the trip! Look at the excitement on her face!
Got to get me in here! There me one or two more!

Here I am from the top of the tower!
What a view!
Is it not beautiful?

Lets take a quick look at European money! This is the front of the Euro!

This is the back side! I love there money!

This is one of my favorite things we saw!

The beautiful gardens of the palace of Versailles!

My photography senses went crazy!

Here are just a few of my many flower pictures!

You can see how I went a little picture crazy!

This part was kinda sad. We drove through Princess Diana's tunnel.

This picture has no significance from this trip. God did speak to me through it though.

Some times you need to focus on having the small picture clear, before you worry about the big picture! That is what I needed to hear this year!

I can not believe I made it this long without talking about the food! WOW!

It was so good, it was photogenic!

A priceless first taste of SNAIL!!!

We split the tab! It was actually really good!

I thought it was a great idea to eat snail while is France, but only me and Garrett would try it!
Welcome to the Louvre!
Home to some of the most amazing art in the world!
And we saw a lot of it with the help of Mrs. Beckon!
The famous Mona Lisa! It was so cool to see her!
Her eyes actually follow you!
Yes, I did walk all the way through the room to see!

This is sculpted into stone. You see the face, and the veil? It is sculpted as if you can see through the veil! This is a great example of the art here! Paris should be proud of this treasure!

Well, au revoir to Paris! A long night train ride to Rome came next. This is an experience I never want to have again! It was still fun though!
Love Y'all! Be back soon!
