1. The Alabama Crimson Tide.
The king is king until he is knocked off of his throne. Bama has beaten two top ten teams, a top tier Big Ten team, and their two cup cakes. The Florida game eliminated any chance that Bama wasn't number one. Until they lose, they will stay on top.
2. The Ohio State Buckeyes.
As with Alabama, the buckeyes have given no reason to drop them past number two. They have dominated everyone they played other then Illinois. Terrell Pryor is a prime candidate for the Heisman trophy.
3. The Oregon Ducks.
The quack attack. Offense. Offense. Offense. They have dominated every single game they have played. They have even proved they can over come a deficit. coming back from 21-3 this week. They have beaten a top 10 team and dominated a Tennessee team that I think will surprise people as the year goes on. If the ducks start playing some defense, the Pac-10 better watch out. It might not even be a test for the ducks.
Okay. Here is where I disagree with the AP. Sorry Boise. (I'm not really sorry.)
4. The Oklahoma Sooners.
They have five quality wins. Only one overly impressive win, that being Florida State. The sooner quarterback has come out as a quality passer and leader. They have the potential to go 13-0 And have a shot at going to Glendale for the BCS Championship.
5. The Boise State Broncos.
Before the season, there was talk of Boise playing two non-confence top 25 teams. Now there is a chance that there will be no ranked teams on Boise's schedule at the seasons end. Boise is extremely talented, and will not lose a game this year. (Hold me to that.) There schedule does not warrant a raise in the polls, and it will take everyone having two loses for Boise to raise past number three.
6. The Nebraska Cornhuskers.
There isn't a lot to say about Nebraska. They have tons of potential, and will have the chance to prove them selves down the road. A chance Boise will not have. The second they play a quality opponent, expect them to bolt in front of Boise. P.S. They can run the ball.
7. The Auburn Tigers.
I know. You are shocked. They have been impressive. Cam Newton can play ball. It is along season, and the question will be if he can keep up his running. Auburn shouldn't lose more then two games. If they do, it will be a disappointment.
8. The Arizona Wildcats.
Arizona has handled every one they played. They pulled the upset over a loaded Iowa team. They had to fight it out against Cal, but found a way to win. If Arizona makes it, the friday after Thanksgiving could be huge against Oregon.
9. The Texas Christian Horn Frogs
TCU has as good of a chance to go undefeated as anyone, but two lack luster wins of bad teams has the horn frogs low in my top ten. They can rise as far as the big boys let them. They can only win their selves so high with nobody on their schedule.
10. The Louisiana State Tigers.
While a little shaky on offense, the tigers defense has been strong. They are fifth in the nation in scoring defense. They have beaten two top 25 teams, and have a huge schedule ahead of them. They are one of the few teams that control their destiny.
Well, thats my top ten. I am sure it will be totally remolded by the end of the season. Here is a list of teams to watch. They are quality teams that didn't quite make the list. They might make it soon.
Utah
Arkansas
Florida
Iowa
Stanford
Michigan
South Carolina
Some of these teams have a loss, but all to a quality team. Look for them to finish strong, and compete for both conference and national titles.
interesting, very accurate
