So, after an unintentional break of many many weeks, I am back. I appoligize to those of you who expected to read a very devoted bloggers posts, because I am SO busy! Here is a list of reasons that this blog has been silent for so long:
- London, England
- Paris, France
- Rome, Italy
- Williamsburg, Kentucky, US
- Nashville, Tennessee, US
What a list. These cities are where I have spent my blessed summer. I spent nine days in London, Paris, and Rome in June. I plan to devote a blog to that trip at some point in the future, I am just not feeling it today! Sorry! That will also require some pictures, and I don't have my camera on me at the moment. This month, I have been blessed to serve the Lord on two mission trips. The first one was to Williamsburg, Kentucky, with the FBC Guin College and Career. Since I am going into my senior year of MCHS, I was allowed to go with them. It was amazing. Definitely a change from my normal group of friends, but not at all in a bad way. We got back to the good ol' B-A-M-A on Friday, and we rolled out to Mission Fuge on the next Monday! Tired does not begin to explain how I felt, but it was so worth it! A week with the FBCG Youth Body, is worth any amount of sleep deprivation! As with my Europe trip, a future blog will be devoted to His mission trips! As the summer comes to a close, I look back and just see how crazy it has been. Going non stop, packing, unpacking, and life guarding when a chance arises. It has truly been one of the best summers of my life. But now it is over. It is my Senior year at Marion County High School. Something I have been waiting to say for thirteen years. It is time to step up, and represent the God that has gotten me to this point. And not just represent Him, but proclaim Him! As a very smart, if not crazy, guy named Payton Junkin tells us, it is time for us to be the core. The class of 2011 is going to step up, and show the love of Jesus Christ. It is going to be a HUGE year at MCHS!
~Verse of the DAY~
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another towards love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit o doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:23-25
As the summer comes to an end, I thought it was appropriate to use the verse from our spur small groups. As you go out into the mission field (everyday life), remember to spur each other on. Show that love, and help a brother and sister out!
With Love,
Eric
